Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working

Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working, Nothing is Working!

Yup not having a good day today!

Everything i trying to assemble will not fit, every piece of 3d software I used is broken ( I refuse to install windows just because some dick thinks it is the only OS that counts!) And I have no idea’s what I’m doing to my books!

Do I have writers block?
Hell no, it doesn’t exist!

I have commissioned out the next two covers to the artist but I still have lost all plots according to my book and I can’t work on my 3d printer extruder design and the needed software function on OS X are broken!

grrrrr

Second proof arrived, inconsistent printing.

books

The image above shows the two proofs of my book.
The one on the left wrapped in Organza in the second and the one in Black Watch Tartan is the first.

I must point out that nothing was changed between cover versions but you can see the colour difference.

Ignoring that, After using the new template file, a major formatting bug with the accented letter e “é” has now been fixed but now I seem to have a problem with the image DPI. Still need to read through the book to double check but at the moment it stand at 154 pages long .

BTW the wraps are sample of a little project that work with the books.

Looking for the source of an image

Has anyone ever seen this image before? ac5a93fe4d299258aae8938c0ef7f158 I would like to use an edited version of it in my book but have run out of links to follow to its source. Does anyone spot where this image came from and who its creator was?

Ahh getting somewhere. was made by Edgar Clement, and was snatched from his image La Trinca (The Holy Trio)

On to the subject of graphical content.

With the first stage (writing) now done and the editing phase now in hand, I find my thoughts turning towards the last phase, the phase that will make or brake a book, The Cover.

I’m no artist, I have neither the patience or the talent for it and find myself looking forwards to commission it out. the initial prices are starting to make me feel sick. My current design looks like a leather bound book, but I don’t feel that it looks professional. One of my readers posted a suggestion for cover art but with current pricing, the cover will cost well over £300!
Book 1 is around the 29K mark and I just cant see the point in footing a bill that big for something that will be free.

I looked into buying royalties free stock vectors and while its cheaper, the bill for a DIY job is still in the £200 mark.

I just don’t know what to do.
